OTHER ACCOMMODATION IN PORT MORESBY
As a result of the mining and gas boom of the late teenies, Port Moresby has so much accommodation to offer that we just cannot list them all. The main list consists of our regular suppliers, however, here you will find some of the smaller brands and local properties that are comfortable and clean, but more affordable or to your taste.
Laguna Hotel
The Laguna Hotel is a modern business hotel located in the heart of Waigani. There are 60 rooms built on two floors around a large outdoor swimming pool with ample space for a large function. There is also three indoor function room plus a boardroom complete with the usual projector and screens.
The bedrooms are configured in queen or twin bed types, all equipped with ensuite, desk, hair dryer, satellie TV, fridge, tea and coffee and bottled water. The restaurant and cafe are open from 7.00 am until 10.30 pm each day along with the bar for a beverage throughout the day or evening.
The Wellness Lodge
Located in East Boroko, a short drive from Jacksons International airport, The Wellness Lodge and Spa offers affordable motel room accommodation in a secure compund. There are three room types, two with ensuite bathrooms, all with satellite TV, kitchenette, ceiling fan, air conditioning and bar fridge.
Business clients are taken care of, with a conference centre with projector and sound system plus a business centre with laminator, fax, and emails. You can also hire a car at competitive rates.
The Raintree Lodge
Also located in East Boroko, The Raintree Lodge is a most relaxing place to unwind, whether at the start or end of your PNG adventure. You get a comfortable King room (can be made into a twin for additional charge) with all the modern amenities, like ensuite, satellite TV and fridge.
The restaurant offers all meals, with a mix of Asian and Western style, and a bar stocked with SP beer and basic wines and spirits to quench your thirst. Wander through the tranquil gardens to the spa for a full relaxing Balinese or a more deep tissue Shiatsu massage or perhaps a facial or foot spa.
