Fishing Charters Tufi’s pristine waters are ideal for game fishing, bottom fishing and estuarine fishing. Bottom fish the deep clear waters of the Solomon Sea and enjoy the thrill of hooking some big fish. Then head to beautiful Komoa Beach and feast on a seafood BBQ, complimented with garden salads, tropical fruits and full bar service. Dogtooth tuna, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, trevally, Spanish mackerel, giant barracuda are all in abundance in this scattered network of reefs of over 250 square miles. Enjoy bottom fishing for red emperor and nannygai or fish in the estuaries for the mighty black bass and mangrove jack. Tufi Resort offers the unique experience of fishing in absolute pristine waters on outer reefs that have yet to be fished on, it is not unusual to come across two to three reefs in one day that are not on any charts. We have discovered reefs that offer large amounts of wahoo, GT’s and huge dogtooth tuna that have spooled us in 5 minutes on a 15kg line. During the mackerel-spawning season (September to January) you can land up to 30 mackerel in two hours of intense game fishing, some of them weighing in at around 25kgs. Head upstream into the muddy waters of the small rivers that spill into the beautiful Fjords, casting into the snags to hook up great fighting fish like Mangrove Jack.
