Vyvyen Wong

Expo 88 and living in Brisbane opened more possibilities, and after completing a AD Business at the College of Tourism & Hospitality where I won the Travel Agents Encouragement Award.  I gained experience in an agency then went on to Compass Airlines (I & II) where I covered different roles from Reservations through to the Compass Owners Club and escorted travel agents on familiarisations. Sydney was the next place to be and where I did accomplished much international travel. Working for QANTAS for 14years enabled me to get to Bali, Japan, Korea, India, Canada, USA, South Africa, Thailand, Italy, UK, New Zealand, Singapore, PNG and explored Australia extensively. The experience gained at QANTAS was immeasurable, it spanned from International Reservations through to Tour consulting, sales auditing, sales & refunds processing and flights reconciliations. A sidetrip to my adventure was learning natural therapies and now hold Diplomas in Reflexology and Remedial Massage  The next part of my adventure was driving from Sydney to Cairns alone and began work with Airlines PNG, again working from reservations and retail sales through to Sales & Marketing. I travelled around Australia touting the amazing natural beauty in PNG and what it has to offer as the next exciting destination. I was involved in the joint venture with Airlines PNG & Pacific Blue, the launch of their Shareholders Club, and training. I am also currently undergoing a Business degree at JCU with a double major in Marketing and Tourism Management, which certainly keeps me out of mischief.

My current adventure is challenging and fulfilling as Business Development Executive for both the Business & Leisure Travel Group and PNG Holidays. Our aim is to be alert of the unfolding business opportunities and drive the business forward.
