The Makara Bird View Lodge, near Tari in the Southern Highlands, is less than 200 metres from the Ambua Falls. Named after the river that runs into the falls, The Makara Lodge has 14 self contained and spacious rooms with hot water and heated communal lounge room. There is also a kitchen, dining room, and a wrap around balcony with bird feeding stations. Guests can observe and feed the many beautiful birds, as well as view the spectacular waterfall.
