Available Tours

Harbour Cruise: Depart Kokopo for a half day Cruise of Simpson Harbour and Blanche Bay. Stop for a close up view of the Bee Hives and Mt Tavuvur live volcano and explore the island for Megapode Eggs.

Half Day Kokopo Tour: Get to know Kokopo, taste local tropical delights at the kokopo markets, take in the magnificent view at the Vunapope look out, visit Bitapaka War Memorial Cemetery and the famous Queen Emma Steps. Explore the Kokopo War Museum which houses an extensive rantge of war relics, the Japanese occupation and German administrative history.

Hiking tour of Mt Vulcan: Guided climb up Mt Vulcan, one of Rabaul's magnificent volcanoes which erupted in 1937 and 1994.  Be rewarded at the summit as you look out at the spectacular view of Simpson Harbour and its surroundings.

Village Tour: Experience village life first hand, interact with people from the local villages, learn about their daily routine and geta taste of their unique lifestyle.  See how the local shell money is made and learn about its current day use.

Snorkelling: Snorkel Blanche Bay's hidden reefs or take a quick trip to nearby Pidgin Island.  Full day dive options are available.

Bottom Fishing: For the amateur fisherman, a relaxing day or evening, bottom fishing at Blanch Bay off the Kokopo beach Hotel.  For the serious angler, charter our custom made boat the MVJ Michelan for an overnight adventure.

Full Day Gazelle Peninsula Tour: Discover the history of Rabaul - from the Old Rabaul Market to an extensive range of WWII relics including the Japanese Submarine base, barge tunnels at Karavia Bay and Admiral Yamamoto's Bunkers.  Witness up close and personal the well renowned volcanoes and the volcanic hot springs.  Shop at the new Rabaul Markets then take a drive down Mango Avenue and see the effects of the volcanic eruptions.  Visit the Volcano Observatory then take a lunch break at the Kualu Lodge, after lunch take a leisurely drive back to Kokopo via the Malmalmuan Lookout.
