Butia Lodge

The Butia Lodge is located at Losuia, the main town on Kiriwina Island. The accommodation is basic but tidy, with a restaurant, hot showers and flush toilets. Electricity is limited to 6 hours, being from 1700 - 2300 hrs each day. Battery operated lanterns are provided in each room. Room rates includes airport transfers and 3 breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

There are hire cars from around $210 per day, and village stays for approximately $50 per night, whiich includes your meals and a guide.

The Lodge also run a 3 day cultural and village tour for around $2100 per group which includes:

• Full day of traditional activities, with dancing and games.

Access to the Trobriands is limited, with Airlines PNG flying from Port Moresby and Alotau twice a week.
