Bensbach

Where on earth is Bensbach, I hear you say? Well, it's in the Western Province of Papua New Guinea, on the border of Irian Jaya. The nearest Australian land mark is Boigu Island in the Torres Strait.

The region, located in the Tond Wildlife Management Area, is full of low lying flood plains that around 190 species of migratory birds call home at various times of the year. Other animals living in the area are deer, crocodiles (fresh and saltwater), wallabies, monitor lizards and wild pigs, to name a few.

The Bensbach River is teeming with Barramundi, Tarpon and Sarratoga, which will provide hours of entertainment for the serious angler and novice alike.
